Today is Fidel Castro’s birthday!
A revolutionary that led and liberated a whole island along with his Cadre, Castro ended the dictatorship of fulgencio batista—a puppet dictator and sellout backed by the united snakes.
One year after sellout batista took power through a coup in 1952, Castro and comrades organized to get batista out of power.

With about 150 comrades, they attacked the Moncada military barracks outside of Santiago de Cuba but this attack failed and Castro was captured and sentenced to 15 years in prison along with his brother Raul Castro.
Released in 1955, Fidel and Raul traveled to Mexico to reorganize and plan their revolution where they met Ernesto Che Guevara, another revolutionary that made history.
Castro and 80 comrades returned to Cuba in 1956 and had to flee into the Sierra Maestra mountains and in two years, built up guerilla forces that were able to organize a government for the poor working class people.

With growing support for Castro and the guerillas, Castro and his forces were able to take control of Cuba while batista fled to the Dominican Republic.
Fidel’s time in office brought about a world of change for the poor and working class Colonized people of Cuba.

He created education programs that made the literacy rate 99%—the highest in the Western Hemisphere—ensuring that all people are fed and housed, all while whipping the amerikkkans asses and accomplishing much more in the years to come.
Fidel was also a leader that actively practiced criticism and self-criticism!
Salute to Fidel and those dedicated to anti-colonial revolution and centering the masses of Colonized people!
