Heatwave After Heatwave Leaves Planet High And Dry

By Chief Watacame

Water is and always has been the basis of life. Our ancestors all over the world and throughout time understood this, respected this, respected the earth. We have seen how colonizers have continuously taken advantage of any resource mother earth provides.

This is evident when we look at what these crusty crakkkers have done to the earth’s water supply.

Lake Mead is the largest water reservoir in the united snakkkes of amerikkka. This year, among the over 200 heat records being broken even before  the start of the summer, Lake Mead’s water levels have dropped lower than ever before.

The Hoover Dam which has been referred to as “an engineering marvel that symbolized the American ascendance of the 20th Century” has also hit its lowest point, which solidifies its representation of the imperial core literally crumbling.

Not only have these two vital water reservoirs been affected, we are seeing droughts all throughout the country, with states like California, Utah, Arizona, and more urging people to only water their grass twice a week, take shorter showers—anything but taking responsibility for this failure of colonialism.

People in so-called “California” have even submitted complaints to their local representatives about their water starting to taste like dirt. Instead of investigating the quality or purity of the water, officials told people to “add lemon” to combat the taste. Lemon.

Missouri currently has trihalomethane, among other pollutants, in its pipes

As dumb as this response is, surprising it is not. Flint, Michigan has not had clean water since 2014, with no material support from the government and no colonial media coverage has been given to the water crisis in Missouri

We can look at other colonized countries in the world where colonialism has already destroyed this resource. We look at Pachama (“south america”) and Africa where because of dirty water, we see diseases like malaria, cholera, dengue, and others which could be prevented if not eradicated.

Instead, these diseases run rampant in those areas because most of their natural water resources are given to greedy multinational corporations such as Nestlé and Coca Cola and then sold back to the locals—at extremely high prices—as “bottled water.”

What is left doesn’t reach the masses due to corruption by sellouts, so the people have no choice but to dig up dirty water to drink or die of thirst.

The Natural Events Preparedness Committee (NEPC) of Black Hammer is dedicated to returning Colonized people to the harmony our ancestors had with the earth. We are doing this by creating material, and accessible training to the masses of Colonized people on how to navigate the colonial infrastructure during natural events—natural events being what the colony calls “natural disasters”, tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires, etc.

We are starting on-the-ground campaigns for these heatwaves and droughts to educate our people on how they can stay safe, prepare, and get themselves and their people through this crisis while continuously letting them know that colonialism is at the center of these problems.
