Utah – This past Friday, February 12th, our member Sgt. Boa was caged unjustly by the pigs and the colonial injustice system. This kidnapping comes after months of being under the whip of their plantation job, reparating resources while serving the colonized masses in Utah every single week, providing them with KN95 masks, food, and clothing. Sgt. Boa isn’t just a servant of the masses but the servant and leader that they deserve. That they need. And now Sgt. Boa needs us.
As a collective, we must do all we can in order to ensure the mental, emotional, and physical safety of Sgt. Boa, the safety of all our people, to protect them from genocide. This violent system has condemned our people, yet we are guilty of only one thing—being colonized.
The History of the Colony’s Prison Pipeline
We know that pigs, jails, and prisons in amerikkka were created as a giant pipeline to throw African and Indigenous people in cages, locking us up by the millions to create incubators of free Colonized labor. Just look at the history of the “justice” system here in the imperial core.
The KKK was formed in the south after slave patrols were outlawed. The reason crackers wear hoods is that their voluntary hobby as slave catchers became “illegal”, but they didn’t stop there. These former volunteer slave catchers turned KKK members picked up a day job from the state as sheriffs, police officers, jail trustees, and judges upholding the same settler colonial law they always have no matter their title.
After the abolition of chattel slavery, the u.s. government transformed one concentration camp into another, and the Slave system became the prison system. The united snakes’ constitution enshrines this change in the 13th Amendment:
“Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”
Crime, however, is only justified after the punishment when you are colonized. We exist, therefore we must be a threat, so the colony will swoop in to punish us, whether we are revolutionaries or not.
Colonized Revolutionaries, including journalists like Mumia Abu-Jamal, or Ramsey Orta, are kidnapped and tortured to silence anybody who speaks out against Colonialism. Activists like Sandra Bland are lynched in absolute isolation and secrecy, and now our Comrade Sgt. Boa has been stolen from us by these pigs.
These concentration camps exist to disappear poor and working-class colonized people, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Even before the pandemic wiped out 500,000 people in amerikkka alone, prisons were dens of plague. Today, our kidnapped siblings are being exposed to a deadly virus. Older inmates are being wiped out to make room for newer waves of incarcerated Colonized poor and working-class people. And the cycle continues. Parents, siblings, and friends, comrades like our beloved Sgt. Boa get disappeared into the prison pipeline.
These concentration camps are the modern-day continuation of slavery. What right does this colonial system have to judge us? We are guilty of nothing but doing what we must to survive in this colonial hell that was forced on us.
A machine built and maintained through our stolen labor and genocide can never keep us safe. The amerikkkan state is exactly that kind of machine. It breeds desperation and poverty, which are the fathers of violence, addiction, and death. The colonizer used these symptoms as an excuse to lock up our Comrade. The crime was justified after the punishment.
That system is not rational. Not by choice would millions of colonized people enter the concentration camp. That system is forced on us, especially when we try to escape it; the slave catchers never went anywhere. However, they are not unstoppable as they would like us to believe.
Hammer City will protect our people from cages; we must unite and build with one another to liberate our people. We must Destroy the Colony. We will Destroy the Colony.
Sgt. Boa leads by example and shows what Cadre looks like
Sgt. Boa is experiencing constant danger, the same torture that the masses of Colonized people have faced since Europeans started oppressing our people 600 years ago. No sympathy is given to hostages of the state, especially when they are revolutionaries.
Despite everything, Sgt. Boa is using this time to forge themself into a sharper revolutionary and to organize the Colonized people locked up alongside them. Going in with a high head and an even higher resolve, Sgt. Boa serves as an example of what a revolutionary should strive to be: selfless in all that they do, centering the people in order to forward the revolution, whether or not they are freed or locked up.
Sgt. Boa’s work shines through, not only when saving lives delivering PPE, COVID safety tips, food, and clothes to the community, but also in their writing. Black Hammer Times wants to give a revolutionary salute for their dedication to the Colonized Masses and contributing to their well-being in anyway that they can.
We will continue delivering undying support until they are back, and expose how the colonial injustice system has sabotaged our Comrade.
We will condemn the judges, we will chase out the pigs, we will convict the public defenders, often the only option given to colonized people for legal defense, who work hand in glove with the pigs.
We were not meant to escape the pipeline, so Colonialism designs every part of the system, even our so-called “defense”, to tie us down to be sacrificed. Just like they did with Sgt. Boa.
This is why Black Hammer has a new mission of creating our own Legal Defense force. Poor and working-class colonized people will have public defenders who actually work to keep us safe, who actually unite with anti-colonialism. We will ensure that none of us ever feels the fear and the pain that Sgt. Boa is suffering, that none of us have to watch our loved ones get disappeared. All poor and working-class colonized people will build dictatorship over our land, our resources, over our very bodies, meaning not a damn soul will have the power to rip us from our homes.
We will build up Hammer City at the same time as we tear down the walls of Babylon, until every last one of us is free.
Like Ho Chi Minh said, “When the prison doors are opened, the real dragon will fly out”
