Antifa might not be fascists, but for African, Indigenous, and other colonized people (“of color”), when it comes to colonizers on the left and colonizers on the right, we’re colorblind to their colonial politics. They are two wings of the same white nationalist system.

Why even bother writing about this tiny cult of white “leftists” who have failed to stop any sort of racist, imperialist, colonialist violence today, or ever, throughout history?

I would love to not have to pay any attention to these kinds of distractions, but Antifa, specifically Antifa Colorado Springs, has attacked a queer African and Filipino mother in the Black Hammer Organization.

At the same time as neo-nazis are storming the u.s. Capital, Antifa Colorado Springs (and through the tacit approval of other Antifa chapters) has put a target on my comrade’s back by attempting to dox them and is spreading lies about my organization saying that we’re anti-semitic and anti-vaxxers. 

My organization which has not only debunked these claims in article, after article, after article, but has ­— in our founding principles — support for full religious equality, and has advocated for actually tested vaccines and has been in the streets around the world every weekend passing out a quarter of a million FREE N95 to houseless, poor, and working-class African, Indigenous, and colonized people.

What are you really about?

I am here to say no to this attack, to the blatant disrespect of our lives and our revolutionary leadership.

Antifa Colorado Springs, you may claim that you’re anti-fascist, but your stance and actions show that you’re pro-colonizer, pro-white power, and pro-stepping on the most exploited people when it gains you Twitter followers. Now, who does that remind you of?

Unlike “antifa”, Black Hammer doesn’t just foolishly attack symptoms of political violence, we organize to build a system of our own. We are against all forms of white power, but we are also an organization by and for poor working-class colonized people around the world. We organize for all colonized people, who had our families ripped apart, who had bombs dropped on our communities, who lost our names and tongues, and who had our land stolen by white nationalists like you, both on the left and on the right.

Antifa doesn’t know what they’re FOR, and so they are easily convinced to fight losing battles. Worse yet, they don’t even know what they’re against! How can they be against Fascism if they are doing the work of the pigs for free? If they actually knew what fascism was, they wouldn’t be trying to attack, dox, and spread lies about colonized people in our anti-colonial organization!

It’d be wise for us to listen to wise words of the African revolutionary George Jackson:

“An exact definition of fascism concerns me because it will help us identify our enemy and isolate the targets of revolution.”

Fascism is a term thrown about for about one hundred years now, but who really knows what it means? If both antifa and anti-colonial revolutionaries claim to want to build a world without oppression, someone has to be be right and someone has to be wrong.

What is fascism exactly?

Let’s see what Bennito Mussolini, colonizer socialist and founder of the Italian Fascist party, has to say about anarchists, liberals, and other kinds of individualists:

“Fascism [is the] negation of the doctrine underlying so-called scientific … socialism, the doctrine of historical materialism which would explain the history of mankind in terms of the class struggle.”

Fascism is against large-scale anti-colonial movements like those in Burkina Faso, Cuba, China, Vietnam, Laos, Korea, Yemen, Venezuela, and countless others around the globe. Antifa is made up of liberals and anarchists who also try to attack all countries resisting colonialism.

“Imperial power, as understood by the Fascist doctrine, is not only territorial, or military, or commercial; it is also spiritual and ethical…Fascism sees in the imperialistic spirit – i.e. in the tendency of nations to expand – a manifestation of their vitality.”

From the mouth of fascists like Mussolini, Fascism is openly pro-colonialism. It sees the theft and genocide of colonialism as natural and righteous. So much so that it will even attack other sectors of the colonizer nation to continue “expanding”. Therefore fascism must be the small fraction of colonial violence that turns itself against the colonizer.

Fascism vs Antifa

If fascism means attacking poor queer colonized people, if fascism means attacking all anti-colonial movements, and if fascism means colonialism, how can anyone claim to be “antifascist” and do those same things as fascists?

It’s not enough now to be antifascist. And it’s never been enough to be antifascist. Antifa is a failed ideology which dates back to post-WWI germany when the “antifa” liberals and socialists got demolished by the Nazis.

Nowadays, “Antifa” is a term which anarchists, gentrifiers, and other liberals today have latched onto because the empire is splitting apart and the different sectors are attacking each other without mercy. What they call Fascism, which is really just Colonialism, is more visible than ever, so they need a visible enemy to fight while holding onto their colonizer privileges at the same time. Antifa thinks that as long as they tease the cops, and yell at trump supporters, they can go back to their suburban homes and sleep soundly at night.

As long as the amerikkkan empire breathes it will be fascist because it is founded on Colonialism. An “antifascist” colonizer is still a colonizer, a liberal colonizers is still a colonizer, an anarchist colonizer is still a colonizer. As long as they uphold the colonial empire, they will always be white nationalists, no matter what they claim to protest.

Poor and working-class colonized people don’t care if you’re anti-fascist! We care about attacking the root of fascism, which is Colonialism, and organizing to liberate our nations from genocide! We care about taking back our stolen continents! Your continued presence as colonizers is the root of everything we’re against. Get off the stolen land and pay reparations, because we are getting our LAND BACK!
