A Colonized Christian (poem)

By Chief DK

A Christian sits reading pages of the Gospel,

Attempting to heal wounds, through the stories of Apostles.

Then comes the verse like a message in a bottle—

Corinthians 1:10—May there be no divisions, nor hostile

Quarrel between religion, no contradictions to unity.

For even our wisdom will be thwarted,

Discernment falling under the scrutiny

Of a God that loves the Earth, more than humans ever could.

Corrupted kings and authorities rest upon bones of the good.

Crusaders used the Lord’s name in vain

To expand empires of flesh, innocents sinfully slain.

This is not God’s love, but the possessing power of the evil,

For God is a revolutionary, giving power to the people.

So is it the general who is to blame

When the soldiers disobey?

Perhaps

The truth

Lies

Within.
