Every week, freedom fighters are hitting the streets yelling “black lives matter” in the faces of white power agents. We are rising up.
As our Commander in Chief Gazi, correctly says:
“Our knee is now on the neck of white power. “
They are begging us to stop.
The white power kkkapitalist state is sending out celebrities and politicians to make statements, making aesthetic changes to the white nationalist state, and passing meaningless reform bills to kill the momentum and growth of our movement.
We must look past our enemy’s facade and keep going!
We are at war for our humanity, freedom and power. We are not in the streets for a band aid, we are in the streets for liberation, which is only secured through revolution.
Brother Malcolm X says, “If you stick a knife in my back nine inches and pull it out six inches, there’s no progress. If you pull it all the way out that’s not progress. Progress is healing the wound that the blow made.”
That knife is 600 years deep in our backs. This is what we are rising up against: to lift this knife from our backs, heal, and wield it to bring power to our communities and kill white power; to end the oppression and exploitation of all colonized people.
The state can’t handle us rising up now, like they couldn’t handle us rising up in the ‘60s, 90’s or any decade in between.
This is a back to the future moment. The state is utilizing tactics from the past that have weakened previous anti-colonial movements.
We must learn from these past battles and understand the tactics that led to our demise and what tactics had killed our motivation.
To know the strategy of our enemy is to avoid falling into his trap. The strategy of Colonialism is⎯as it has always been⎯complete submission of colonized people to their own genocide. In other words, war.
The most memorable and damaging of these war tactics was COINTELPRO (Counterintelligence Program), the poisonous child of the FBI and J. Edgar Hoover.
COINTELPRO had five main goals, according to one memo by Hoover:
“1. Prevent the coalition of militant black nationalist groups.
2. Prevent the rise of a “messiah” who could unify, and electrify, the militant black nationalist movement.
3. Prevent violence on the part of black nationalist groups.
4. Prevent militant black nationalist groups and leaders from gaining respectability, by discrediting them to three separate segments of the community. The goal of discrediting black nationalists must be handled tactically in three ways. You must discredit these groups and individuals to, first, the responsible Negro community. Second, they must be discredited to the white community, both the responsible community and to “liberals” who have vestiges of sympathy for militant black nationalists simply because they are Negroes. Third, these groups must be discredited in the eyes of Negro radicals, the followers of the movement. This last area requires entirely different tactics from the first two. Publicity about violent tendencies and radical statements merely enhances black nationalists to the last group; it adds “respectability” in a different way.
5. A final goal should be to prevent the long-range growth of militant black nationalist organizations, especially among youth.”
The state maintains the same five goals even today. It is digging up these old tactics, coupled with new surveillance technologies, to complete these goals and to neutralize those who would lead the poor and working class colonized masses to higher consciousness and organized action.
WE CAN NOT LET THE STATE DO THIS AGAIN.
Colonized people know our own history. It is written into our flesh with hot iron and fire. The white nationalist media, for its part, has already gotten their memo.
The DEA has been authorized to do covert surveillance on freedom fighters and destroy any colonized movements, revolutionaries or not, for the sake of “public safety and welfare”. This ain’t new. What is new is the DEA’s surveillance capabilities.
Officially, the DEA are one of the most tech-savvy agents of white power within the state. They have access to facial recognition, “stingrays,” which are used to track and locate phones, and access to billions of domestic phone records.
Alongside them are the FBI, ICE, and the military. Not to mention, the local occupying forces of pigs like the NYPD, equipped with its own arm of intelligence, and which former mayor and current billionaire, Michael Bloomburg, called “the seventh largest army in the world”.
All of these institutions are violent and snake-like agents of white power.
There have been reports of agents flying WARTIME SURVEILLANCE DRONES over Protest areas, known to be equipped with dirt boxes, which act like fake cell towers to gain your phone’s unique identifier in order to track physical location.
These dirt boxes and stingrays, once they receive your unique identifier, can gather phone numbers, voice calls, and messages.
Alongside the covert, digital surveillance, pigs are going undercover in crowds, and working with “press” to take pictures of freedom fighters.
Looking to the past, we know they will frame our leaders in this movement. Not the shameless parade of celebrities, and scam artists who claim to be our leaders, but actual anticolonial leaders of the revolution.
We must prepare for their surveillance and for divisive tactics thrown at us by the state. Within our own ranks, we must begin combating liberalism and adventurism with unity and organization.
We are at war. We must recognize it and act like it. Move in units, have plans, and point out the enemy when you see them. Here are some tips on how to avoid digital surveillance during a protest:
- Before entering a protests space, ensure all internet connected devices are fully encrypted, turned off, or in airplane mode.
- Turn off fingerprint and face unlock; the pigs will force you to unlock your phone. Don’t make it easy.
- If you have to use your phone, only communicate through end to end encrypted messaging platforms like signal, telegram, or wickr.
- Turn off location services.
Protest safely comrades. Let’s destroy White power and build black power!!
